Message from Clean Power Now

Today we learned the opponents are filing another "frivolous" lawsuit to try and stop the Cape Wind project from moving forward. We are not surprised. They have filed over six lawsuits since 2003 and won none of them. But every time they sue, they do succeed in slowing down the project and creating a financial burden not only for Cape Wind but also for taxpayers.

Now that the extremely favorable Final Environmental Impact Statement has been released, they are desperate to delay the project again.

We won't let them do this without a fight. Please make a donation today to help us against these powerful interests and keep the Cape Wind project moving forward.

This most recent "frivolous" suit is against the State of Massachusetts, and will surely waste valuable tax dollars needed for other things and delay the creation of new clean energy jobs. This action is indefensible, especially during an economic crisis when our state needs every dollar and every job possible.

Massachusetts can have the first off-shore wind farm in the U.S. and all the benefits that will follow. But we have to keep working for it, and fighting for it every step of the way. With your support, we can fight this "frivolous" lawsuit and keep the Cape Wind project moving forward.

Please contribute today and send this email to your friends and ask them to do the same.

Sincerely,

Barbara Hill
