Join Maura Healey campaign for Attorney General, Monday Dec. 9th

Dear Friend,

I hope that you and your families are doing well and enjoying the start to the holiday season. I am reaching out to you because I need your help. After seven years as litigator, division chief and bureau head in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, I have decided to run in the open race to be our next Attorney General. I’m ready to build on our office’s strong record under Attorney General Martha Coakley of protecting consumers, standing against discrimination and fighting to safeguard our communities. I humbly ask for your support for my candidacy.

I hope you can join me at my Holiday Party this coming Monday, December 9 from 5:30-7:00pm at Carrie Nation Cocktail Club (11 Beacon Street, Boston). I would love the opportunity to meet you and share with you my vision for the Attorney General’s office.

The month since announcing my campaign has been a whirlwind. I’m a first-time candidate and excited to be getting out across our state, to hear from residents and to share my vision for our Attorney General’s Office. I’ve already been to events in dozens of communities and begun conversations about the future of Massachusetts – about our economy, our neighborhoods and the opportunities we want for each other.

Almost everyone asks me the same two questions: “Why are you running?” and “Can you win?” I want to quickly tell you my answer to both.

I am running because I believe the role of the Massachusetts Attorney General has never been more critical. The AG’s work impacts every resident and every sector of our economy. I will be an Attorney General who brings integrity, passion and unyielding work ethic to the job. I will fight for consumers, working families and the most vulnerable among us, protect our students from unaffordable loans and stand up for both equal pay and equal rights. I will continue to work with all my partners in law enforcement to take on human trafficking and cybercrime, to safeguard taxpayers and to make sure our government, businesses and individuals play by the rules.

I know I can win if I can share my ideas, my unique experience and my commitment to public service with voters across the state. In these early days of the campaign, I need your support more than ever to get started. I ask you to consider making a contribution to my campaign before December 31, 2013.

I am excited about my campaign and what is possible, but I can’t do this without you.

Join our campaign this Monday, Dec. 9th from 5:30-7:00pm, for a Holiday Party at Carrie Nation Cocktail Club (11 Beacon Street, Boston). I would love to see you there. Click here to attend and donate!
