Pass Paid Family & Medical Leave and the $15 Minimum Wage for Women

Today is International Women’s day. Today, we’re celebrating the amazing women who have championed our issues from the beginning, as well as those who fight every day to care for their families and provide for their loved ones.

Women of color, trans women, women with disabilities, queer women, and all women across Massachusetts are impacted everyday by a lack of access to paid Family and Medical Leave and a $15 Minimum Wage. In Massachusetts alone, women make up 49.3% of the overall workforce, but represent 67.5% of the low-wage workforce. As long as this economic inequality persists - we need to keep fighting.

You can fight for women too by contacting your legislator, and asking them to pass Paid Family and Medical Leave so that women can take time off to care for a newborn child, a relative, or a loved one without fearing job loss or financial ruin. Also ask your legislator to pass a $15 Minimum Wage, so that women can provide the for themselves and loved ones.
